A woman\’s body has been found after a house fire on Merseyside.
Firefighters were called to Village Way, Wallasey, at 04:30 GMT after smoke alarms alerted neighbours.
Three fire engines attended, with firefighters wearing breathing apparatus finding the body in a bedroom on the first floor.
Mark Thomas, of Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service, said it was \”quite an intense fire\” and an investigation into the cause was under way.
