A fire involving thousands of tonnes of wood at a Teesside recycling plant has been extinguished after burning for more than two weeks.
The fire began on 23 December in a stack of wood in the UK Wood Recycling plant at the Wilton site near Redcar.
Cleveland Fire Brigade let the 16,000 tonnes of wood burn itself out to minimise the impact of smoke on surrounding properties.
The wood was then dampened down and the fire has now been extinguished.
