Man arrested over Stockton house arson attack

A man has been arrested on suspicion of arson after seven people were forced to flee a house blaze on Teesside.

Four adults and three children escaped the fire at the property in Kingston Road, Stockton, on Friday.

Police said an initial investigation suggested a flammable liquid had been thrown at the house.

A Cleveland force spokeswoman said a 25-year-old man had been arrested on suspicion of arson with intent to endanger life and later bailed.

Inquiries are continuing.
