About 200 people were evacuated from a high rise block of flats in east London after a fire broke out.
Around 80 firefighters attended the scene at Dorrington Point on Bromley High Street in Bow at 13:20 BST.
A spokesman for London Ambulance Service said one person was taken to hospital and four others were checked over and treated at the scene.
The fire brigade said the other residents were able to leave the 11-storey building without assistance.
A spokesman for the brigade said the blaze spread through two five-bedroom flats on the fifth and sixth floors.
Anna MacArthur, from London Ambulance Service, said an 87-year-old woman was taken to the Royal London Hospital to be treated for the effects of breathing in smoke.
She added that a 74-year-old woman was treated at the scene for breathing difficulties but did not need to be transferred to hospital.
A man in his 50s, a baby and 87-year-old woman were also checked over at the scene but did not need hospital treatment.
