Foam fire extinguishers are available in 2ltr, 6ltr and 9ltr options and are suitable for ‘Class A’ and ‘Class B’ fires.
Carbon Dioxide Extinguishers

Carbon dioxide fire extinguishers are available in 2kg, and 5kg options and can be used to put out fires involving flammable liquids.
Powder Extinguishers

Powder fire extinguishers are available in 2kg, 4kg, 6kg and 9kg options and are suitable for use on fires involving Class A, B, C, D and electrical fires.
Wet Chemical (class F) Extinguishers

Wet chemical fire extinguishers are available in 2ltr, 6ltr and 9ltr options and are suitable for ‘Class F’ fires and can be used to extinguish fires involving fat and cooking oils.

The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 places a legal duty on employers to make a suitable and sufficient assessment of the risks to which people in the premises may be exposed with regards to fire. Failure to comply with this order may result in prosecution.
A fire risk assessment is a careful examination of what, in your work, could cause harm to people with respect to fire.

The purpose of a fire risk assessment is to identify any fire hazards and then aim to eliminate or reduce the associated risks.
How often must a fire risk assessment be carried out?

A fire risk assessment must be carried out and then regularly reviewed. This interval should normally not be longer than 12 months.

Fire Stopping
Fire Stopping

Fire stopping is the process of sealing gaps and holes caused by building services, usually this is needed when cables and pipework are added to the building.

Installation and Third Party Accreditation

Griffin Fire are accredited through the FIRAS certification scheme. We are accredited to provide and install fire penetration sealing systems. Third Party accreditation confirms that Griffin Fire has demonstrated compliance with industry standards, assuring all our clients that the works carried out is correct to specification and will provide the required fire protection.
All quotations and recommendations will be carried out to an achieve minimum of 60 minute ﬁre rating unless otherwise specified by the client.
Site Surveys

Griffin Fire carry out comprehensive site surveys. The purpose of the survey is to identify breaches within the fire wall/ceiling and determine the required fire penetration sealing system. The surveys will include images of all existing penetrations and document the location. This survey can be used as a fire stopping register.
