Surrey school fire destroys swimming pool complex

About 50 firefighters have tackled a blaze at a school in Surrey.

A swimming pool complex was destroyed in the fire at the City of London Freemen\’s School in Ashtead Park, Surrey Fire and Rescue said.

No-one was hurt in the blaze, which started at about 22:30 GMT on Friday, the fire service said.

One fire engine was still at the scene on Saturday, along with three fire investigation officers.

A spokeswoman for the fire service said it was too early to give the cause of the blaze but investigations would continue.
